Teem Mom 2

I was watching Teen Mom 2 (I know, it's such a lame show but I love it!), and there is a girl named Kailyn that was definitely affected by social media. She is currently living with her ex-boyfriend Joe, their child, and Joe's parents. She begins dating a guy named Jordan, and decides to change her relationship status on facebook to "in a relationship." When she gets home, her ex-boyfriend and his parents completely attack her for dating someone else, and tell her that she can't live there if she is going to date another guy. So in this situation, she was affected negatively by social media.

Ray William Johnson

Last week, my post was about a video done by Ray William Johnson. This week, I'm going to talk about Ray William Johnson himself. Here is an average kid, who decides to videotape himself reviewing videos on the internet. He now has his own youtube channel, has more than 10 million views on some videos, and has his own t-shirts that you can buy at hot topic. He has made himself famous from the comfort of his own home. I think this shows how effective social media can be, and I think that this is definitely a positive aspect of it.

The Radio Voice Man

Well, I can't exactly figure out how to post a video to my blog, so I'll just tell you how to get there if you'd like to watch it. Go to youtube.com, search for raywilliamjohnson (yes, all one word), and watch the episode titled "Hump Like Bunnies." I know, the title is inappropriate, but if you just click about halfway through the video, you will see a man named Ted Williams. This is a homeless man who just looks downright insane. He is holding a sign claiming that he has an amazing radio voice. I know, weird right? So this guy pulls over, rolls down his window, and decides to spare the guy a few bucks to hear his voice. It turns out, this guy does have an AMAZING radio voice! Within 48 hours of this video being aired, Ted Williams was offered a job as a sports broadcaster and was even given a house. A HOUSE! In 48 hours! This definitely shows the HUGE effect that social media can have. I think it's awesome that this guy is getting his life back together :)
